Milwaukee, WI 53228 ![]() (414) 427-1731 ![]() By Jon S from Milwaukee, WI Posted Jan 2, 2010 My cat looked like it was having a stroke. I called the regular vet (Sat.) but he went home so I was refereed to this 24 hour place. I asked a few questions over the phone about what could they do if it was a stroke? Non committal - we need to do an exam for $85.00. I guess that is OK on one hand. Not acceptable on the other. Like calling about you car tires. If my car needs tires can you replace the? Their best is: well we have to do an exam. We went and had exam. Recommenced keep cat over night and tests $800. We asked tests only = $400. Cat had no prior seizures and was back to normal, so we declined as we could wait for regular vet. Then a snotty well the cat could die of anti freeze if we don't and we have to sign a form saying the cat could die in our home and we are declining "treatment. I refused to sign decline of "treatment" Said I'm declining tests. Just let me pay and leave. THEY WOULD NOT LET ME PAY THEM. They made me meet someone else. I rehashed etc. They would not let me pay them and leave with out a fight. I said if you were so worried about antifreeze you would have offered test for that. She then checked = $70.00 I had enough already so said no. Finally the receptionist was instructed to take my payment and let me leave. I kept saying let me pay or I will leave and you can send me the bill. Not a very compassionate lets start most likely and go from there approach. It was an all or nothing type attitude. Seemed more interested in maximizing income than maximizing pet treatment. A waste of time and exam money Share Your Review Please note: all reviews are screened for spam and take 24-48 hours to be approved.
